Burt Jones and Maurine Shimlock (Secret Sea Visions) are long time pioneers of Indonesian scuba diving, always happy to share their considerable knowledge of the archipelago’s deepest secrets. Many of their images appear in the Ultimate Indonesia scuba diving and cruising guides, and these have certainly made a huge impact on the finished books.

If anybody is wondering about the image at the bottom right, there is an explanation. Maurine was inducted in the "Women Divers Hall of Fame". Unfortunately she was at sea during the event on-board the Damai II dive liveaboard. Even more unfortunate, she was at sea with me. We decided to have our very own presentation ceremony on board. Here she is being presented with her celebratory induction cake by two men in dresses.
